Email, snail mail, mail bag! Once again Andrew and Julie open and read mail sent from students, teachers, and parents. In this delightful episode students share how confident they are since learning IEW's writing method, and teachers and parents express gratitude for the transformation they've witnessed in their students' writing ability. Andrew Pudewa is the founder and director of the Institute for Excellence in Writing. Presenting around the world, he addresses issues relating to teaching, writing, thinking, and spelling with clarity, insight, practical experience, and humor. His seminars for parents, students, and teachers have helped transform many a reluctant writer and have equipped educators with powerful tools to dramatically improve students’ skills. Although he is a graduate of the Talent Education Institute in Japan (Suzuki Method) and holds a Certificate of Child Brain Development, his best endorsement is from a young Alaskan boy who called him “the funny man with the wonderful words.” He and his beautiful, heroic wife, Robin, homeschooled their seven children and are now proud grandparents of nineteen, making their home in Northeastern Oklahoma’s picturesque Green Country.

Julie Walker
Julie Walker serves as the chief marketing officer at the Institute for Excellence in Writing (IEW), where she has played a key role in producing, directing, and co-writing many of the organization’s instructional materials, including the Structure and Style® for Students video courses. She also co-hosts the popular Arts of Language podcast alongside Andrew Pudewa. After earning her MBA from Biola University, Julie relocated with IEW from California to Oklahoma. Before the move, she spent several years teaching primary grades and homeschooling her three sons—just three miles from Disneyland!
